Now Accepting BIZ Futures Program Applications

TBDC is accepting applications for their Biz Futures Self-Employment Program. Designed to help people with disabilities launch their own businesses, this program is supported by the Ontario Disability Support Program – Employment Supports (ODSP-ES).

This robust program covers business setup, marketing and sales, financials and business
operations. Participants complete a comprehensive business plan during the initial phase of the
program. On-going advisory support is provided as clients build and implement their business
plans.

The program is presently delivered virtually from TBDC’s Front Street West office. To participate
in the program, individuals:

  • complete a program application
  • meet with the program manager to review the viability of the proposed business idea
  • and go over the program elements
  • obtain an ODSP-ES program referral

StartupWind, Inc and Toronto Business Development Centre(TBDC) announced their partnership for StartupWind Global Accelerator program that will help startups across the globe to tap into Silicon Valley ecosystem and the eligible finalists would be fast tracked for startup VISA program Canada.

Cupertino California, March 9th, 2021 – StartupWind Inc, and Toronto Business Development Centre(TBDC) announced their partnership today for StartupWind Global accelerator program that will help in accelerating the growth and expansion of the selected global startups in the North American market.

The selected startups will benefit from:

  • Up to $10,000 in saving in fees as StartupWind and TBDC are offering the Global Accelerator program for FREE for the inaugural cohort.
  • Connection to Silicon Valley mentors with a wide range of functional, industry and technological domain expertise.
  • 35+ video-based entrepreneurship courses by StartupWind entrepreneurs updated with the ever-evolving business landscapes.
  • Potential of exposure to 400+ accredited investors on StartupWind platform.
  • World-class tools and frameworks provided by the StartupWind Innovation platform.
  • TBDC will screen and interview companies using TBDC’s established due diligence process for Startup Visa and Soft-Landing Program and fast track eligible startups from StartupWind’s Global Accelerator program for StartupWind Visa Program Canada.
  • For the selected candidates for the Startup Visa program, will provide selected clients with the following support:
    • access to one-on-one mentor sessions via TBDC’s mentors as TBDC’s Program Clients
    • access to TBDC’s networking events as and when such events shall from time to time be held
    • access to TBDC’s investor network
    • use of the designated premises for the sole purpose of conducting the Program
